Idol Hour Sporting Collection aims to preserve our outdoor traditions and heritage through writing, photography, and history. Idol Hour comes from the name of the Idol family farm, founded in 1768. Since it was founded, sporting life has been an integral feature to Idol Hour. This site is dedicated to that memory.

Harrison Idol grew up hunting and fishing on his family's bicentennial farm in the foothills of Appalachia. Surrounded by century-old stone walls and classical farmhouses, he developed a passion for history and the countryside. With a heavy emphasis on tradition and heritage, his work aims to capture the timelessness of outdoor sports.
